Whether you're looking for injectable fillers, laser hair removal or a relaxing massage in the Lexington area, it's important to find a spa that can meet your needs. Women and men often have difficulty choosing between a medical spa and a day spa. Understanding the difference between the two can help clients choose the right one for their particular goals.

  • Medical spas operate under the supervision of a Physician Medical Director and offer treatments that are often selected by a doctor. Procedures commonly found at medical spas include BOTOX® Cosmetic, injectable fillers, laser treatments and medical facials.
  • Day spas provide a relaxing space where clients can rejuvenate through a variety of soothing treatments. Typically, day spas offer facial and body treatments such as massages, wraps and skin care programs.

One option is not better than the other. Whether you choose a medical spa or day spa in Lexington depends on what type of treatment you are looking for. If you are unsure which treatment can best serve your needs, I recommend speaking to an experienced skin specialist who can help you understand each treatment's purpose.
