My patients commonly associate "breast enhancement" with breast augmentation in Indiana. Although breast augmentation is a highly effective procedure, it's not the only option when it comes to enhancing the shape and size of a woman's breasts. A breast lift is another popular option for more attractive breasts. Here's what separates breast augmentation from a breast lift:

  • Breast Augmentation - This procedure is a good choice for women who feel the size of their breasts doesn't match their body type. Small breasts can make women feel uncomfortable and even affect their self-confidence. Through the use of silicone or saline implants, I am able to achieve the desired amount of enhancement. Breast augmentation can also fill out slightly sagging breasts that have lost volume, but typically a breast lift is required for this.
  • Breast Lift - Some women are surprised to find that their concerns may be most effectively resolved with a breast lift. This procedure can raise breasts that are saggy or stretched out to attain a more youthful appearance. During treatment, I remove excess skin, fat and tissue, reshape the breasts, and reposition the nipples. This is a good option for women who want to improve their breast shape but don't need more volume.

If you have questions concerning which breast enhancement procedure is most likely to provide the results you desire, talk with a qualified plastic surgeon. Some doctors might recommend combining breast augmentation with a breast lift to get the benefits of both.
