Giving birth is a rewarding experience for many women. However, after pregnancy, they may experience concerns such as sagging stomach skin, excess areas of fat, and lost breast volume. When these women come to my Indiana plastic surgery practice, I often recommend a Mommy Makeover to restore their bodies.

If you're unsure about what a Mommy Makeover can achieve, here are 3 procedures often included to target the specific areas of the body affected by pregnancy:

  • Breast Enhancement: Many women choose to incorporate breast augmentation or a breast lift in their surgery plan to enhance the shape, size, or position of their breasts. In some cases, I also combine these procedures.
  • Tummy Tuck: Sagging stomach skin, excess tummy fat, and lax stomach muscles may occur as a result of pregnancy. During a tummy tuck, I can remove that excess skin and fat while tightening the abdominal muscles to provide a firmer, flatter stomach.
  • Liposuction: Some women may require only liposuction rather than a tummy tuck. This option is generally better if a woman is concerned only with specific areas of fat. However, liposuction cannot remove excess skin or tighten abdominal muscles. In some cases, I combine liposuction and a tummy tuck for enhanced results.
