Scarless Breast Augmentation

A number of women considering breast augmentation in Houston worry about the appearance of scars. There are many options that can give you the enhanced, natural-looking breasts you want. My practice offers these options for scarless breast augmentation:

• Opt for transaxillary breast augmentation, which places the incision in the patient's underarm, and leaves no scar on the breast itself.
• Consider saline implants, which typically require smaller incisions since they can be filled at the time of surgery.
• Explore minimally invasive techniques such as the Keller Funnel™. This cone-shaped device propels the implant with little force, and reduces the incision size to approximately 3-3.5 centimeters.

Each method has its pros and cons, but there's no substitute for a good surgeon. Even if you choose a traditional breast augmentation with insertion through the areola or in the intramammary fold, if you are particularly concerned about scarring, make sure to let your doctor know so that he or she can plan accordingly.
