One of the liposuction alternatives I offer at my practice is the BodyTite™ procedure. Unlike many other fat reduction treatments, BodyTite can be used on several different areas of the body – including the knees, arms, neck, and jaw. Because of its ability to target these smaller areas of skin, BodyTite is often a good minimally-invasive option for male breast reduction in New Jersey.

How Does BodyTite™ Work?

Using high frequency electrical energy, BodyTite works by melting fat and using the heat energy generated by the radio waves to shrink collagen in the fat and skin layers. This process results in optimal skin tightening. It is much less traumatic to the body than more invasive measures and greatly reduces downtime post-surgery.

What Causes Male Breasts?

Abnormal breast development in men is clinically referred to as gynecomastia. This condition may result from hormonal irregularities, heredity, excess fat or breast tissue, and even certain medications. Although gynecomastia is usually first seen during puberty, it can develop at any age.

Can I Benefit?

In order to determine if the BodyTite treatment will work for you, I recommend consulting a board-certified plastic surgeon. Your surgeon will perform a physical assessment to evaluate the ratio of fat-to-breast tissue present and then recommend the appropriate treatment. In some situations, BodyTite alone may be sufficient. However, surgery may also be needed in men who have overdeveloped breast tissue.
