Waxing, shaving, tweezing. Chances are you've already tried one or more of these methods, or at least have heard of them. With several options available for hair removal, you may wonder which one you should consider. Some of the various methods of hair removal available include:

  1. Waxing- This method of hair removal is relatively quick. However, it is not recommended for larger areas of hair as it is time-consuming.
  2. Shaving- This inexpensive hair removal method is perhaps the most common form of hair removal, yet it is one of the most temporary measures.
  3. Threading- Threading involves taking a cotton thread and removing hairs by twisting the thread around each individual hair. Threading removes the hair from the follicle, in a similar fashion to tweezing.
  4. Laser hair removal- This form of hair removal directs a laser to a targeted area and uses pulses of light to destroy the hair follicle. Multiple sessions are usually recommended for permanent results.
  5. Electrolysis- Electrolysis is similar to laser hair removal in that it destroys the hair follicle, but it is different in that it uses a small needle to emit the electric current into the hair follicle.

If you are looking for the right hair removal method in San Diego for your particular needs, there are several factors to consider. For example, you will want to investigate the differences in prices, procedure time, and permanency. You should also ask about what impact the color of your skin, texture of your hair, and size of the treatment area will play in the treatment.

In general, I have noted that the most effective method is with laser hair removal, as it is relatively quick, and provides long-lasting results. I recommend consulting an experienced dermatologist to determine the best method for you.
