Breast implant size is one of the most important considerations for women considering breast augmentation. Over the years I've known many women who have had breast implants, all of whom were happy they had the procedure. In many cases, if they could do it again, they would choose a larger breast Implant Size.
A recent study in 2008 actually uncovered this statistically. What is the leading cause for a breast implant revision procedure? Unfortunately, it is just to change the breast implant size.
While breast augmentation is a miracle of medical science, the art of choosing breast implant size still needs to be perfected. For all the costs and risks associated with the procedure, I'm sure that women do not look forward to a subsequent surgery just to change their breast implant size.
In the past women have used the "rice bag test" as a method for guesstimating the breast size they would like to have. By filling a plastic bag with a measure of rice comparable to a breast implant, this test is supposed to help a woman decide what breast implant size is right for her.
The method is acceptable, but still rather archaic. In this modern age, it seems there should be a better method for determining breast implant size than using a square plastic bag in a round bra cup! The bag just doesn't fit well. It creates something of a "mono-boob" look and actually smells like cooked rice if she wears it around for more than an hour or so.
I like the Purlz Breast Sizing System because it looks and feels like natural breasts within a bra. The best thing about this system is that a woman can actually wear it around over a period of time...she can actually experience the effects of various breast implant sizes.
