A Medical Vacation that Makes SensePosted Friday, October 26, 2007 to PROCEDURES > Face Posted by cathy If you follow cosmetic surgery in the media, you’ve no doubt noticed that in one of the latest trends, patients are flying around the world for their procedures. In fact a whole industry seems to have sprung up around this idea, the cosmetic surgery travel industry. Don’t believe me? Just Google “medical vacation” and you’ll see what I mean.
Call me unadventurous, but to me, those two words don’t really go together. At least not in a good way. When I’m on vacation, I don’t want the word “medical” anywhere near my itinerary. And when I’m not feeling my best, whether I’m recovering from some kind of procedure or just battling the flu, there’s only one place I want to be: home.
Having said all that, though, I will admit it makes perfect sense to me that people from California’s Central Valley would travel here to the Central Coast to see a facial cosmetic surgeon I work with, Dr. Paul Stallman.
