Although hearing loss can occur at any age, many younger people are hesitant to get hearing aids. In Colorado, thanks to the latest technology, formerly clunky hearing aids are now almost invisible. With this new, inconspicuous solution to hearing loss, people of all ages are taking a more serious look at their hearing.

If you suspect that you have inadequate hearing, read the following and see if any apply to you.

  • You hear better in one ear than the other.
  • You turn up the television louder than other people do.
  • Friends or family comment that they have to speak loudly in order for you to hear them.
  • You hear a constant ringing or whooshing sound.
  • You cannot tell which direction a sound is coming from.

Hearing loss usually occurs gradually and can be difficult to identify since, over time, most people have grown accustomed to the changes and poor hearing has become "normal." A proper evaluation by a specialist can pinpoint the exact problem and provide an accurate diagnosis.
