The DermaPeel Difference

Many dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and medspas perform microdermabrasion. The procedure generally involves using an instrument to sand away dead cells on the surface of the skin, achieving a "fresher" complexion. It's a relatively popular non-surgical option, and has been very successful for some patients.

I've discovered technology that helps me achieve even better results for my San Diego microdermabrasion patients: DermaPeel™.

Benefits of DermaPeel

In addition to improving overall texture and tone, the DermaPeel can polish away:

  • Wrinkles
  • Stretch marks
  • Blemishes
  • Enlarged pores
  • Age spots
  • Oily skin
  • Hyperpigmentation

The DermaPeel device is FDA-approved and the procedure is performed by an experienced aesthetician, so my patients know that their procedure will be safe and effective.

How It Works

DermaPeel utilizes aluminum oxide crystals in a pressurized spray to exfoliate dead skin cells and vacuum them away. With continued treatment, your body produces new skin cells to replace the old cells that were removed.

The DermaPeel treatment can be performed in as little as 30 minutes. Afterward, my patients get back to their usual routine right away – whether it's family, work, fun, or exercise. Most people see and feel an improvement in their skin after a single treatment; however, I generally recommend a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart.

For more thorough rejuvenation, some patients choose to combine their microdermabrasion treatments with other non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, injectable fillers, and laser treatments. A thoughtful and consistent at-home product regimen is also helpful in maintaining that healthy, youthful glow.
